The University of Illinois Housing Web site has won a 2009 WebAward. The WebAward is an international honor bestowed by the Web Marketing Association to just 6 sites in the University category.

The 'University Standard of Excellence Award' means the Housing Web site sets the "standard of excellence for which all Web sites should strive," according to the WMA.

Congratulations to the many University Housing and OJC Technologies staff who lead the effort to relaunch the Housing Web presence: Katie Bradley, Erin Ciciora, Leslie Ehler, Wendy Evans, Justin Parker, James Quisenberry, Kirsten Ruby, Dana Stodgel, Steve Tondini, and Thomas Webb from Housing along with Brandon Bowersox, Danielle Chynoweth, Safiya Noble, Lori Patterson, Matt Sharkey and Ben Young from OJC Technologies.

The project helped Housing achieve three main goals: adoption of a Content Management System, creation of a modern, engaging visual design, and the implementation of a user-friendly site architecture.

OJC Technologies engaged with University Housing for a 15-month project. OJC guided the team through an objective, detailed analysis of CMS requirements and options that led to the selection of the Sitecore CMS platform.

OJC also conducted a series of usability testing sessions to iteratively refine and improve the site navigation and labeling to meet the needs of a diverse array of user audiences.
