OJC Print Projects: Process Tour

Planning

During the planning phase, we establish a solid foundation for your job. Planning includes these steps:

Gather Requirements

OJC tailors our comprehensive requirements gathering process to suit your needs. This process may involve interviewing your project's stakeholders, conducting focus groups with real users, and/or gathering systematic data through a Design Survey.

Create the Project Plan

The project plan is the essential reference document for getting the project completed on time and within budget. The project plan maps the road ahead and helps you plan for periods of intensive client input and review.

Post the Project Website

The password-protected, Project Website allows any of your project stakeholders to view the latest design iterations and review other project-related information, online, at any time. Trust is central to good working relationships. With the process and the project's status at your fingertips, you never have to worry about what is going in between deliverables. The Project Website contains links to:

  • OJC's and your contact information

Determine the Print Vendor

You may already have a preferred print vendor, or you may want us to get competitive print bids. OJC has worked with local and regional printers, and we understand how to obtain the highest quality print job for the most reasonable cost.

Coordinate with the Print Vendor

Once the print vendor has been established, early communication with them is vital. To deliver the product on time, they may need to buy paper, order custom inks, and staff adequately. We make sure your job is on the printer's schedule at the beginning of the project.
