OJC WebEasel software debuts with Grace Lutheran Church website

Grace Lutheran Church went live this week with their new website, powered by OJC WebEasel, a proprietary software program developed by OJC Technologies (OJC).

Grace Lutheran Church came to OJC seeking technology that would enable them to efficiently update content on their website, without the additional expense of adding a web specialist to their office staff. One particular area of need was their Calendar section, which lists dozens of events each week, and requires constant updating.

OJC WebEasel is a user-friendly software interface that allows people with no web development training to edit websites with ease. The user simply logs on to a password-protected site, and clicks on the page they want to edit. They are taken to a web page where they type their changes into a form field, and click on a button to submit these changes. This easy-to-follow method is also used to add new web pages, submit events listings, and add or delete photos.

OJC created a customized version of OJC WebEasel for Grace Lutheran Church. Their integration of this software helped facilitate a website overhaul that was otherwise performed in-house.

"The process went incredibly smoothly," said Brandon Bowersox, OJC's Technology Director. "Once we delivered the software to Grace Lutheran, they were able to utilize it immediately, and were live with their new site within one week."
