OJC automates everything from purchase orders to employee timesheets for UIUC OIR division
Urbana, IL (Oct. 25) - OJC Technologies has successfully completed and implemented a comprehensive inventory management system for the Division of Engineering Services (DES) at the University of Illinois Office of Instructional Resources.
DES needed to streamline their inventory management process. Their existing inventory was scattered into seven Microsoft Access databases, resulting in duplication of data entry, and often in corrupted data due to the propogation of multiple entries in different states. To solve these problems, these databases needed to be combined into a single system to handle all of the information in all of its forms.
OJC designed the new inventory management system using a single Microsoft SQL Server database. OJC created the user interface in Microsoft Access, capitalizing on the base of Access knowledge that already existed. DES staffers now have a powerful, one-stop-shop for processing of their work orders, purchase orders, inventory, timesheets, and invoices. OJC's customized system solved DES's data problems and streamlined their unique workflow.
