Urbana Company Redesigns University Consortium Website
Urbana, IL (June 14) - OJC Technologies, an information technology company specializing in software, database, and website development, today announced completion of its new website for the Committee on Institutional Cooperation.
The Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) is the consortium of the Big Ten universities and the University of Chicago. The CIC hired OJC Technologies to improve the aesthetics and organization of its 3000-page site.
The new website went live on May 1 at www.cic.uiuc.edu and today enters a period of public evaluation during which the faculty and staff of CIC universities will give feedback about the redesign.
The site is organized to provide easy access to information about the hundreds of collaborative projects, programs, and groups that the CIC facilitates across its member universities.
OJC Technologies, located in downtown Urbana since 1998, has performed a number of high-profile projects for higher education clients. The online Instructor and Course Evaluation System (ICES) for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign went live in the Fall of 2001. A group of websites including the main homepage for the University of Illinois at Chicago were completed in the Spring of 2002. And two new editions of the Discover Economics software for McGraw-Hill college economics textbooks are scheduled to be released this year.
