UIC website wins the Publicity Club of Chicago's Silver Trumpet Award

The website for the University of Illinois at Chicago, designed by OJC Technologies, has won the Publicity Club of Chicago's prestigious Silver Trumpet Award. The Silver Trumpet is awarded for distinguished achievement in public relations.

The Publicity Club of Chicago is the nation's largest independent public relations membership organization. Each year they present an awards program for excellence in planning, creativity and execution of public relations and marketing communications pieces.

During the process of redesigning the UIC website, OJC worked closely with the Office of Public Affairs at UIC, to understand their goals and facilitate consensus among a diverse group of stakeholders from other UIC departments. OJC designed the site in accordance with UIC's identity guidelines, and as a result, the basic design theme of the main website became a standard template for additional UIC web development. This standard simplifies the redesign process for other departments while allowing flexibility for them to maintain their unique identities.
