David Young

Software Engineer

David was born in Huntsville, AL but has lived in central Illinois for the majority of his adult life. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the engineering program at Cornell University. He has a wide base of theoretical knowledge covering algorithms, data structures, and the theory of computation; strong diagnostic abilities; and an enormous breadth of programming experience spanning 3-D computer graphics, networking, machine intelligence, systems programming, and computational science. He is fluent in many programming languages, including C, Java, and Python.

Currently, he is a software engineer at OJC Technologies. David co-founded the Community Wireless Network ( CUWiN) and has been the technical lead for the software development for over two years, developing and troubleshooting the existing technology and implementing software improvements. Dave has garnered widespread respect for his NetBSD patches and kernel improvements as well as his work developing drivers for wireless cards.
