Kurt BielemaSenior DesignerKurt grew up in a tiny town in western Illinois called Gregsville. He graduated with a BA in journalism from Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL, then moved to the much cooler city of Champaign-Urbana in hopes of becoming a professional musician. His creative journey instead landed him job after job as a graphic designer, and he has since won several awards for his work at Taylor Studios in Rantoul designing graphics and exhibits for museums. He has also created the graphic aesthetic for local Champaign businesses including Cafe Kopi, Boltini's, and the One Main development. Kurt is an expert in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Quark Xpress, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Flash. He also has experience with other media applications, including Macromedia Director, Adobe Premier and AfterEffects, and Final Cut Pro. He still plays music, and though it didn't work out for a career, he is happy to be making a living of being artistically creative anyway. His girlfriend was actually the one who spied the ad in the paper from OJC for a graphic designer, and Kurt feels fortunate to be working with all the other artsy folks on the OJC team.
