Building an Elegant, Intuitive Site Architecture
Over 7 years of usage, the Mid-America Earthquake Center's website grew to include over 250 megabytes of content and over 300 individual, lengthy pages. It was impossible for the MAE Center staff, let alone visitors to the site, to find any of the rich content. OJC developed a robust architectural design that allowed over 90 links to be prioritized on the home page in an uncluttered and graphically pleasing structure. A unique rollover bar hovers on the page allowing the user access to a host of clearly labeled links without compromising the simplicity and ease of use of the home page. The website is supported by WebEasel content management system.
