OJC's development team designed and programmed in C a fast, tree-structured configuration database for multiple network clients, with commit/rollback, transactions, and asynchronous client notifications for add/delete/modify events.
We programmed a configuration parser in C with a novel object-oriented architecture supporting run-time syntax changes, on-line help and command completion, high-speed parsing of immense router configuration files, and bug-for-bug compatibility with Cisco IOS command language. Using the parser,we programmed a command-line interface (a client of the configuration database).
