Building consensus with multiple stakeholders
ClientThe University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) is the largest university in Chicago. ChallengeUIC wanted a new homepage that would appeal to prospective students. At the same time, a new site also had to be easier to maintain, be accessible to users with disabilities, and serve existing students, faculty, and staff. The project had divergent goals and a broad group of stakeholders. SolutionOJC interviewed stakeholders and advisors and created web-based surveys to gather information about the site's users and about campus web developers. OJC created a site navigation by categorizing hundreds of links and testing with human subjects. OJC designed marketing content to appeal to prospective students with imagery and facts.
