Developing a prototype presentation
for a new educational tool
OJC designed and produced The Vibe History of Hip Hop Sample Curriculum for Dr. William Patterson of Innovative Ed, a marketing and educational media
technology consulting firm. The sample curriculum came out of Dr. Patterson's vision for an educational tool that would effectively reach today's youth. He recognized the potential for realizing this goal through the Hip Hop movement, and developed an educational curriculum that would accompany the book, The Vibe History of Hip Hop. OJC took Dr. Patterson's text and, using QuarkXpress, Adobe Photoshop, and print production techniques, designed and produced The Vibe History of Hip Hop Sample Curriculum. By framing Dr. Patterson's work in a professional packet whose visual identity was a clear partner to the published book, OJC provided an effective tool for communicating the strength of the new curriculum.
