The Official Xbox Magazine
When Microsoft announced the release of their Xbox game console, Imagine Media knew they could bring to its community the same expertise they've brought to the readers of PC Gamer and PSM: 100% Independent PlayStation Magazine. As part of their bid to become the console's official magazine, they came to OJC for a movie to kick off the internet portion of their pitch. A homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey plays off the Xbox's planned release date, and a breathless montage matches the action and sophistication of its new games. The finished movie played a central part in Imagine's proposal. The proposal worked.
