Web Accessibility

OJC believes the Web is for everyone.

OJC employs features which allow the sight-impaired, the motor-impaired, and other people with disabilities to make full use of the Internet. Since 1999, OJC has worked to be a leader in implementing the standards set out by the US government and the W3C for website accessibility.

OJC built cutting edge accessibility verification software funded by an Illinois Board of Higher Education grant. The software was built in conjunction with University of Illinois Professor Jon Gunderson, a leading expert in the field, co-author of the State of Illinois Web Accessibility Standards, and Chair of the W3C User Agent [Web Browser] Accessibility Guidelines Working Group.

Our sites also adhere to rigorous usability guidelines. OJC also works with clients to bring existing sites up to accessibility standards.
