Usability Engineering

Computer systems have to respond to users with different needs and goals. Beginning users want to find their way through a system without getting lost or frustrated. Advanced users want systems to be efficient for complex, repetitive tasks.

Designing for a diverse group of users involves more than just careful planning: it entails working with potential users. OJC builds user-friendly software by adhering to usability guidelines and testing with diverse users, including those with disabilities.

Training and Documentation

We provide one-on-one and classroom training and frequently hold training events to show users how to use a new system. Training must accompany up-front usability engineering, online help, documentation written for users, and a network of helpful peers and technical support workers.
